All,
As you know the all star meet is not a team competition nor do we intend it to be. The philosophy of the meet is to let the swimmers swim against the entire league and to complete against each other in a fun environment. We do not score the meet for team scores nor do we award places to each team.
The VA pilot ran a full page story about the meet in today's paper. I provided the paper with all the results and files used in the article. I needed to send a list of team names and abbreviations along with the results. Unfortunately I mistakenly ran the scores report to obtain that data. So the article lists the team scores. This was not done intentionally. I assembled the data in haste and ran the wrong report. Please do not think that we (the board) are attempting to change the philosophy of the all-star meet. Please accept my apologies if this cause any problems, confusion, or complaints.

If you have any questions please feel free to call my cell at 438-6424 or drop me an email.

Respectfully,

John Squires
