Hello VBSL,

Little Neck Swim Team wants to thank all of you for making today such a great meet. We hope your swimmers had a fun day and set lots of personal best times. I believe there were at least five or six new league records set today. Look for results posted in the Pilot tomorrow and an article in the Beacon later this week. John Squires will be posting result files to the VBSL.net website soon.

Today’s event would not be possible without the help received from many. I’m sure I will leave someone off the list, but I will try to thank as many as I can anyway.

First a big thank you goes out to John and Leanne Roche for organizing the wet side of the meet today. Thanks to all of the officials that helped out and a special thanks to Janet Law and Rex Lacy for keeping the meet moving.

Thanks to all of the parents that stepped in and helped with Clerk-Of –Course. A huge thank you goes out to our National Anthem singer from Pembroke Meadows. For those of you that did not see her, she sang that today without a microphone – just awesome!

Thanks to all of the VBSL officers for their help. Thanks to John Squires for leading the league in an efficient and positive manner this season. A special thanks goes out to Dan Sykes who is now taking his talents to Kentucky.

A big thanks goes out to Shawn Duffy and to Great Bridge for providing the sound system and spinning the tunes on the back lawn. Thanks for keeping the swimmers entertained.

Finally, we would not be successful in this meet if it wasn’t for the help we receive from all of our friends at Pembroke Meadows. Thanks for bringing the timing system, setting it up, running it, and the helping break it down again. You guys and gals are terrific!

Please pass on to your families that the crew taking pictures at the meet today will have shots posted on their web site very soon. So even if they did not sign up to have their swimmer’s picture taken, they may have shots of them for viewing and purchase on their site. To access them follow these instructions:

1.	Go to www.portraitefx.com
2.	Enter 00000hb for the session code
3.	Leave the passcode blank
4.	Enter your email address
5.	Click view images

All images will be printed on high quality metallic paper and mailed directly to you. Questions call 777-2493.

If you have ribbon questions, please contact Kevin Nichols at CPAC or Andy Paryzac at NYCC. Mallory Country Club, you left your ribbons at the pool. You can claim them at the guard shack during normal hours which are typically noon – 9pm.

Broad Bay Country Club, you left your banner at the pool, you can claim that at the guard shack also. We had a number of chairs, towels, shirts and everything else you find after a meet left at the pool and those items are in the lost and found.

We have about a dozen All–Star shirts left. Please call or e-mail Carole Sharpe for size and color information if you are interested at lnst at cox.net or 486-1273.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer and gets some well deserved down time.

Take care,

Bill
